For those of you who don’t already know, I have confirmation from the organiser that the car show will not be taking place this year due to the on-going flood defence work. If you are looking for somewhere to go this Sunday, don’t forget Sunderland & District Classic Vehicle Society are holding a show at Seaburn Recreation Ground.

MG Durham are holding their Spring Classic Show at Houghall College, near Durham on Sunday 18th May. They are expecting over 100 classic cars to be on display including the likes of MGs, Jaguars, Minis and Lotus. The organisers of The Scottish Borders Historic Motoring Extravaganza 2014 are looking for any American cars to feature in their special display area celebrating 50 years of the Mustang. The event is held over the weekend of 31st May / 1st June at Thirlestane Castle, nr Lauder. Although closing date for pre-entry has now past, if you would like to exhibit you will be welcome. The Merry Modified’, a North-East based modified car owners club, and ‘Shot by Sw4ns’ invite all car enthusiasts regardless of the vehicle they drive, to ‘Spring Cleaning 2014’, on Sunday 18 May 2014 at Durridge Bay Country Park, Morpeth – 12pm until 3pm

They are aiming to raise money for the site, so entry fee donations are requested at a minimum of £2.80, which is the standard price of all day parking, or a little bit more if you are able. Refreshments and food will be available and various trade stands will be there to part you from your pennies!!
